Purasomes are small extracellular vesicles, typically ranging in size from 30 to 150 nanometres, that play a crucial role in cell communication. They are released by various cell types, including skin and hair follicle cells, and carry proteins, lipids, mRNA, and microRNAs that influence the behaviour of other cells. Purasomes are an exciting and innovative therapeutic tool that can enhance the rejuvenation of skin and stimulate hair growth.
Clinical Applications
In clinical practice, purasomes can be delivered through various methods, including:
- Microneedling: Purasomes can be applied topically following microneedling to enhance the absorption and effectiveness of the exosome treatment.
- Injectable Treatments: Purasomes can be injected directly into the dermis for skin rejuvenation or into the scalp for hair restoration.
- CoolTarget: when combined with TargetCool, the results are enhanced through deeper absorption and reduced inflammation
Purasome therapy is generally well-tolerated, with minimal risk of adverse reactions since purasomes are naturally occuring, biocompatible and free from immunogenicity. Purasome treatment is often used in conjunction with other aesthetic treatments to maximise results.
