How does Obagi Nu-Derm work?

The genius of the Obagi Nu-Derm system of creams is that it enhances the penetration of the two prescription-only medicines,  tretinoin and hydroquinone.

Tretinoin works by:

  • Stimulating DNA receptors within the cell nucleus to use the cell's own biological mechanisms to reverse the damage caused by sun exposure and ageing.
  • Stimulating fibroblasts to replace up to 80% of the collagen that has been lost due to sun exposure, smoking and ageing.

Hydroquinone works by blocking the formation of new pigment.

Why use Obagi Nu-Derm rather than an over-the-counter cream?

Research shows that over-the-counter products have barely any effect on skin cells.

Which areas can Obagi Nu-Derm treat?

• The face
• The neck
• The chest
• The back of the hands
• Other areas can be treated with caution
